For over 100 years Ansell been involved in the manufacturing of rubber products in Australia. They developed the worlds’ first automated rubber glove dipping machine and were the first to introduce GAMMEX, gamma-sterilized disposable surgeons’ gloves to the market. Through the 1990s Ansell were the world’s largest supplier of medical, industrial and household gloves.
With a commitment to making gloves that last, Ansell introduced their Worker Experience Innovation program. They studied workers from many industries to help address many of their daily needs and challenges. This produced advances in moisture and antimicrobial management, skin-friendly ergonomics, grip improvement and cut resistance.
The Ansell glove range is extensive and features products for chemical and liquid handling, and a variety of healthcare glove options. Some medical staff still like the familiar feel of latex, while many are converting to allergy safe, non-latex options such as nitrile gloves and vinyl gloves.
