- Treat infections of the ear canal
- Used in urology for irrigation to prevent infections
- Used in gynaecology to adjust pH and help detect cervical cancer during screenings

- Not for personal use
- Avoid contact with eyes and skin
- Avoid breathing vapour
- A transient stinging sensation may occur if spilt on skin
- Do not irrigate the brain, meninges or perforated eardrum
- The solution is not isotonic
- The solution is haemolytic
- Store below 25 degrees
